The Licensing and Accreditation department plays a pivotal role in providing an assurance of quality for the many stakeholders who have an interest in the quality of privately funded technical, vocational education and training (TVET) providers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The stakeholders include learners, the publically funded TVET system, businesses, the economy, government and society.
The licensing process exists to ensure that privately funded training providers in Abu Dhabi have the correct physical and human resources required to ensure quality and excellence within ACTVET licensed training centres. This means that organisations must demonstrate to ACTVET that they have the systems, staff, reference and learning materials, equipment and accommodation needed to deliver and assess the qualifications they intend to offer.
ACTVET will register Training Providers meeting prescribed requirements (standards and quality indicators) to deliver outcomes based learning programs that will lead to the achievement of national endorsed qualifications and awards registered on the QFEmirates.

We will continue to work with other agencies and bodies to foster organisational partnerships and create streamlined processes which support a world-class TVET system within privately funded organisations in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and more widely across the United Arab Emirates.
