Project Management
The Project Management Office (PMO) has been created to centralize and coordinate the management of projects under ACTVET, IAT and ADVETI:
Value Addition
- Provide mentoring and coaching in an effort to raise the project management maturity level of the organization
- Liaise with entities’ PMOs and/or project managers to deliver guidance, reporting and support as needed, to ensure projects are on track and risk-free
- Build project management methodology supported by standard templates
- Keep management and the project community informed using automated tools
Project Management
- Liaise with entities’ PMOs and/or project managers to deliver guidance, reporting and support as needed, to ensure projects on track and risk free
- Deal directly with the project sponsor
- Enforce key project management and methodology standards
- Facilitate training sessions with entities, associates and others as required
- Understand the financial models and ensure program owners are within budget
- Conduct evaluation sessions upon project completion and communicate lessons learned
- Minimize exposure and risk of projects
Project Portfolio
- Support the process of project prioritization, approval and initiation
- Translate strategic initiatives into business unit planning and filter using portfolio screening, scoring, ranking and simulation
- Produce executive dashboard reports
- Explore relevant web-based tools
- Keep management and the project community informed
Process Management
- Build project management methodology supported by standard templates
- Train and orient project managers
- Build project management maturity at the organization level (through Steering Committee meetings, governance, etc.)
- Monitor adherence to the process
